Hi, My Name is Jayden Zapata. I am 5 Years old. I was born In Mount Sinai Hospital on Jan 15, 2004, three months premature. I had blood in my brain which caused complications. At one and half years old I was diagnosed with Spastic Cerebral Palsy & Developmental Delay. I am not able to carry the weight of my body on my right side. I receive Botox therapy on my left leg, and physical, occupational, speech and feeding therapy. I have been at a Center base program with United Cerebral Palsy since the age of 2. Here I learn to be more independent, but I still need help from others.
I want to be a Baseball player when I grow up. I am a Yankee fan and this summer I went to watch the local little league games every Sunday with my family. I was able to throw the first pitch at the All Star Game and I got a trophy and was so excited! I couldn’t stop talking about it for a whole week. My dream is to one day be able to play with the other kids. I love all kinds of sports and love to watch ESPN with my Daddy.
I have done more than what my doctors told my parents I would be able to do. There is a procedure called a Cord Blood Transplant, which, if performed, my doctor told me there is a 90% chance I will be able to walk again. Unfortunately, my parents’ health insurance does not cover this. My family and I were told that I must have this operation before I am 8 years old or my chances of being a normal kid will not look as promising.
All I want to do is be able to have a fair chance at life, and be able to play with all the other kids around me. If there is anything you can do to help my family and I with the cost of this procedure, I would be so grateful. Thank you all so much.

WellBeing is a diverse group of people who seek to make a difference in the world and change the course of history in Kenya by building a solar-powered well. This well will bring forth life-giving water to an entire village of three thousand. This endeavor will help your brothers and sisters in a far away land, and will empower them do the same for many generations to come.
Who is WellBeing?
Wellbeing is you! Who ever wants to join this foundation with their thoughts, prayers or actions are welcomed. Ann Bassarab is our "Chief Inspiration Officer" and our direct contact in Kenya. She married into the Maasai tribe several years ago and lives in Kenya with her husband, Sonkoi. Together they are raising three boys while simultaneously focusing their efforts on sustaining their people by preserving and utilizing the only assets their part of Kenya has to offer: land, livestock and wildlife.
Who are the Maasai?
The Maasai are an indigenous ethnic group of semi-nomadic people. They speak Maa, and also speak some Swahili and English.
What is the situation?
Kenya has had some rain and at the moment, things are looking green. This rain will last for another 2 weeks IF they are lucky and then followed by 10 months of no rain. It was not always this way. We think the patterns are changing because of global warming. Many cows have died and sadly some of the villagers too. All of this is to say that a clean and ample source of water is desperately needed.
What is the solution?
We will build a solar powered well by raising $25,000 to establish the well here is the action plan:
• Fund geological surveys and permits
• Purchase and transport the well to the destination
• Drill the well and install the equipment
